Corey Tazmania is an Actor, Educator and recently certified Laughter Yoga Leader whose specialty is exploring how drama and laughter intersect.
Corey currently teaches Acting at Brock University and Clown for the Ryerson University Chang School's Caring Clown program, has served as a Guest Artist at Brooklyn College, Rosebud School of the Arts, the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, and works with private clients on creating strategies for maintaining and supporting the artist's well-being. Her work as an actor stretches far and wide, including 10 seasons with the Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey; Improv at SoCap and TOSketchfest; School for Wives (Moliere in the Park); Villainous Company, The Realization of Emily Linder and Jericho (NJREP); workshop puppeteer for Lone Wolf Tribe. Her performative work for conceptual artists have exhibited at REDCAT; AGO; BAM Next Wave Festival; Gugenheim; Brooklyn Museum; Whitney Biennial; Hessle Museum; New Museum; Berlinale and PERFORMA
Corey joins us on Saturday morning and will be presenting Epic Laughter (or Kapow Guffaw): exploring iconic gestures of heroic strength through laughter. helping youth (of all ages) connect with their powerful sense of joy in challenging times.
